Why am I asked to turn off my WiFi?

The benefit of a Charge run is the ability to run from anywhere. Most runners start their run just outside their house or apartment while they are still connected to wifi. When the run starts and they begin to run from their house, the transition between wifi and cellular data may drop your audio from the charge run for 10-15 seconds. So we ask you to switch over to cellular data before your run begins so that you do not experience this inconvenience.

Where/when can I do one of these runs?

There are multiple live classes that are provided each day. Just find a time that fits your schedule, join in 5 minutes before the posted class time, and get greeted by a trainer on the other end. It doesn't matter if you run outside your house, on a treadmill, or at your local park. With Charge, you are connected, no matter where you are. If none of the live classes fit your schedule, simply launch an on-demand run, where you can still get the same Charge experience, whenever it is convenient for you.

What does 'signing up' for a run mean?

Signing up for a run helps other runners to know what runs have interest and that you are planning on attending that run. When you have notifications allowed for Charge and sign up for a run, it also allows you to receive notifications one hour before and 10 before the class starts as a friendly reminder of your upcoming scheduled run.

What if I can't make a run?

If you cant make a run, no worries! While we host multiple runs per day, if you can no longer make a live run due to your schedule, we ask that you log into the class at any time before the run and select "can't make this run". We also recommend trying one of our multiple on-demand runs, or catching one of our other live runs.

Charge Run Types

What types of runs does Charge offer?

There are multiple types of workouts that are offered by Charge. From easy intervals to intense ‘Sprintervals’ and everything in between, Charge offers it all! Classes range from 20 minutes for those who want a quick jog, to 50 minutes for those who want to give themselves an extra challenge. We offer weekly "Club Races" for those who have that competitive drive or guided classes for those who want a great workout experience.

What is an 'Interval' run?

An Interval run incorporates short bursts of higher intensity runs followed by a recovery period of equal or slightly longer rest. The goal of an interval run is to get your heart rate above the “red line' (the period in which your body burns more oxygen that it takes in) in short intervals, in order to train your anaerobic threshold.

What is a 'Tempo' run?

A Tempo run can be easily defined as an interval run with much longer, less intense intervals. The goal of a tempo run is to keep your body just below the “red line” where your body is beginning to build up lactic acid for the majority of the run. A standard duration for a tempo round may be between 6 and 15 minutes at an elevated, sustained pace.

What is a 'Sprinterval' run?

A Sprinterval run is a term used by Charge to signify a more difficult interval run. They are generally shorter in duration than a standard Charge interval run but incorporate quite a few sprints.
